Big Spirit formed in New York City in 2016 as the songwriting vehicle for singer Sed Pepper, guitarist Simon Langford, bassist Daniel Bombach and drummer Amy Franz (ex-Super Wild Horses). Drawing on an NYC legacy of bands like The Velvet Underground, Ramones and Blondie while imbued with an Australian Rock lyricism reminiscent of The Go-Betweens and INXS, Big Spirit create tough, exuberant pop.
